The factual TV follow-up, Aftershock – Would you Survive?, put an ordinary family through the realities of living after a natural disaster.

While disaster response specialist, Dave Neru, guides them when necessary, the family is largely left to their own devices and whatever resources they can salvage – or scavenge. At home the kids are told they have 60 seconds to grab what they can before the house ‘collapses around them.’ In their mad dash they must grab the essentials - water, food, shelter and personal medicines before they’re banished from the house to cope on their own for 3 days. Read the family’s story.
